Officers are appealing for information after a 45-year-old man died in a collision in Manchester in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Greater Manchester Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has launched an investigation following a fatal incident shortly after midnight on Saturday 7 December.
A car travelling along Ardwick Green South collided with a pedestrian who is believed to have been crossing the road. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the 45-year-old man died at the scene from his injuries.
His family have been informed and are receiving support from specially trained officers.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene following the collision and no arrests have been made.
GMP officers are now appealing for anyone with relevant footage or information to come forward. This includes CCTV, dashcam or doorbell camera footage, as well as any witnesses who may have seen the collision or events leading up to it.
