Ocean Colour Scene announce 30th anniversary UK tour for landmark album Moseley Shoals

Indie rock favourites Ocean Colour Scene have announced a massive UK arena tour for 2026 to mark 30 years since the release of their breakthrough album Moseley Shoals.

One of the defining bands of the Britpop era, Ocean Colour Scene will celebrate three decades of their classic 1996 album Moseley Shoals with a 13-date UK tour next year, including a major date at Manchester’s AO Arena on 28 November 2026.

The tour kicks off at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on 21 November and finishes with a huge hometown show at Birmingham’s bp pulse LIVE on 12 December. Other stops include Cardiff, London and Newcastle. Coventry indie rockers The Enemy will join them as special guests throughout the tour.

Released in April 1996, Moseley Shoals became a defining record of its era. It spent 92 weeks on the UK Albums Chart, peaking at number 2, and sold over a million copies, earning triple-platinum status. It featured enduring anthems like The Riverboat Song, You’ve Got It Bad, The Day We Caught The Train and The Circle.

Lead singer Simon Fowler said the anniversary felt “hard to believe” but expressed excitement about celebrating with fans. Guitarist Steve Cradock promised “a peak for us as a group,” while drummer Oscar Harrison said the shows would be extra special with their sons Leon and Cass joining the live line-up on percussion and keyboards.

The tour will include a full performance of Moseley Shoals alongside a career-spanning set featuring hits like Hundred Mile High City, Travellers Tune, Better Day, and Profit in Peace.

Ocean Colour Scene’s manager, Alan McGee, described the tour as their biggest in 30 years, calling it a “return to their rightful place” as one of the UK’s great bands.

The Enemy’s frontman Tom Clarke also spoke of his excitement, saying that playing alongside his childhood heroes was a dream come true: “They’ve got more hit songs than most bands have had hot dinners.”

An artist pre-sale will go live at 9.00am on Wednesday 15 October 2025, followed by venue pre-sales on Thursday, and general sale tickets available from Friday 17 October at www.oceancolourscene.com
