A man arrested in connection with the terrorist attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue will remain in police custody for further questioning after a court approved an extension.
Greater Manchester Police have confirmed that a warrant of further detention has been granted for the 31 year old man arrested as part of the investigation into the terrorist attack at Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue.
The decision means the man can now be held in custody for up to seven days from the time of his arrest, or until Thursday 4 December.
The suspect was arrested on Thursday 27 November on suspicion of the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.
Detectives are continuing their enquiries and say the additional time will allow further investigative work to be carried out. Police have not released any further details at this stage.
Greater Manchester Police said updates will be provided when appropriate.
