Firefighters were called to a large blaze at a waste processing site in Trafford Park late on Friday night, with crews remaining at the scene into Saturday morning.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said ten fire engines attended the incident on Tenax Road at around 11.45pm on 1 May after a fire involving a significant quantity of scrap metal broke out.

Specialist equipment including a high reach appliance and multiple water jets were used as crews worked through the night to bring the fire under control.
All staff at the site were accounted for and no injuries were reported. Firefighters remained at the location on Saturday to fully extinguish the fire and make the area safe.

Residents in parts of Trafford and Salford reported a strong smell in the air on Saturday morning after smoke spread from the scene. Emergency services advised people nearby to keep doors and windows closed overnight due to the volume of smoke.
Road closures were put in place along Tenax Road between Parkway Circle and Moorings Road while crews dealt with the incident. One lane reopened later in the morning, with further work carried out to fully reopen the route.
Fire crews are continuing to work with the site operator as investigations and safety checks continue. The incident follows another large fire at an industrial site in Trafford Park one week earlier.
