Manchester Super Giants are preparing to face SunRisers Leeds at Emirates Old Trafford today, 11 August, with qualification hopes at stake in both The Hundred women’s and men’s competitions.

The women’s match is due to begin at 2.45pm, followed by the men’s fixture at 6.30pm.

The matches form what organisers have called Winner Takes All Derby Day, with the Super Giants playing their final home fixtures of this summer’s competition.

Live music is also scheduled between the two matches, with Rudimental and local indie artist Alex Spencer due to perform.

Manchester Super Giants men’s fast bowler Josh Tongue said: “The support we’ve had at Emirates Old Trafford this summer has been amazing, and the atmosphere has been brilliant every time we’ve played here. To have one final home game and a derby with so much on the line is exactly the kind of game you want to be involved in. We’ll give everything we’ve got and hopefully we can finish with a win in front of our fans and reach the knockout stages.”

Women’s spin bowler Sophie Ecclestone said: “It’s been fantastic to see the support we’ve had at Emirates Old Trafford throughout the summer. The fans have really got behind us and made it a brilliant place to play. A derby is always a special occasion, and with everything still to play for, we’re all looking forward to one final push.”

The fixtures will give Manchester Super Giants their final opportunity to play at Emirates Old Trafford during this summer’s Hundred campaign.
