Critically acclaimed show ‘The Greatest Performance of My Life’ returns to the North West as tour extended into 2026
Comedian and broadcaster Justin Moorhouse will bring his acclaimed show The Greatest Performance of My Life to Manchester Opera House on Sunday 9 November.
The Tameside-born comic, known for his sharp wit and warm delivery, will perform in Manchester on Sunday 9 November 2025. The show marks a significant homecoming for the veteran performer, who has spent over 20 years entertaining audiences across the UK and abroad.
Directed by renowned comedy producer Henry Normal, the show blends storytelling, stand-up and personal insight to explore the theme of performance, not just on stage, but in everyday life.
“This show is about all the ways we perform, whether it’s professionally or in personal moments,” Moorhouse explained. “Even in tragic or serious situations, I often find myself performing. There’s humour, sadness and a bit of family life mixed in.”
The show draws inspiration from the Shirley Bassey classic of the same name, in which the singer delivers a powerful vocal performance while concealing heartache behind the spotlight.
“There’s something theatrical about the title, it’s a little tongue-in-cheek, a bit showbiz, but it sets the tone,” said Moorhouse. “The real aim is to give people a good laugh. That’s the main thing. I feel lucky to do this job, and if I can help people forget their worries for a while, that’s what matters.”
The Greatest Performance of My Life touches on concerts, gigs, relationships and life's unexpected turns. The show has received praise for its balance of humour and emotional depth, reflecting Moorhouse’s growth as both a comedian and storyteller.
