A musical like no other, set in a pub, soaked in song, and heading to the Opera House next May

The internationally celebrated stage show The Choir of Man will make its way to Manchester next spring as part of its 2026 UK and Ireland tour.

Described by critics as “a feast for the senses”, the vibrant production arrives at the Manchester Opera House from Tuesday 5 to Saturday 9 May 2026. General tickets https://www.atgtickets.com/shows/the-choir-of-man/opera-house-manchester/

Created by Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay, and directed by Doodson, the show has become a cult hit around the globe, offering something between a jukebox musical, a pub lock-in and a full-blown gig.

With a set styled like a British pub and a cast of nine versatile performers, The Choir of Man delivers a riotous mix of storytelling, live music, comedy, and dance. Expect to hear crowd-pleasers from the likes of Queen, Adele, Avicii, Sia, Paul Simon, Katy Perry and Guns N’ Roses, all performed live by the cast, who also play instruments and pour actual pints on stage.

It’s a celebration of mateship, music and community that has thrilled audiences in London’s West End, across the US, Australia, and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where it first found fame.

The show is suitable for audiences aged 10 and over. While it does feature on-stage alcohol and mature themes, there is no strong language. It runs for around two hours, including a short interval.

With rave reviews from Broadway Baby, Edinburgh Evening News and others, the show is billed as a feel-good experience audiences will want to revisit.
